I've tried many different programs without success. How is Onduo different?

Onduo's different because it's tailored to your unique needs. We also offer remote support and care in addition to your regular doctor visits. Our caring, experienced team will work with you along the way to answer your questions and provide guidance when needed. Plus, as one of the first to experience our program, it’s a great opportunity to be part of our mission. We’re dedicated to constantly improving our product and we’ll be making improvements constantly to enhance your experience. Your feedback is important to us.

I already see my doctor about diabetes. How does Onduo fit in?

The Onduo Care Team supplements your current treatment plan and makes sure you have the support you need between doctor visits. You'll get up-to-date personal health information and answers to your questions from our own team of health coaches. You can continue to see your current doctor throughout the year, but Onduo's program can function as your day-to-day support. A key part of Onduo's program is empowering our members to use learnings and tools to build stronger communication with their doctors.

What does Onduo share with my doctor?

As an Onduo member, your clinical data are available to you through the app. If desired, you can share these insights with your doctor. It's completely up to you.

How much does Onduo cost?

Nothing. Onduo is complimentary for patients with qualifying insurance plans.

How do I qualify for Onduo?

You need to have type 2 diabetes, be at least 18 years of age, and be in a participating health insurance plan. Also, people with certain conditions are excluded from joining Onduo.

These include:

  • Women who are pregnant
  • Those with a history of or diagnosed with any conditions listed below:
    • Liver failure
    • End-stage renal disease (stage 4 or 5)
    • Congestive heart failure (grade C or D)
    • Organ transplant or bone marrow transplant
    • Cystic fibrosis
    • Malignant neoplasm diagnosis or treatment
    • Any additional condition or situation that, in the opinion of the Onduo team, makes the participant inappropriate for participation in this program.

I want to get started with Onduo. How do I sign up?

Register directly at enroll.onduo.com or call us at 1-833-HiOnduo (1-833-446-6386) with any questions. Once you've registered, all you need is a compatible smartphone to download the Onduo app. We're in our initial launch phase and partnering with health plans in certain U.S. geographies. If we're not in your area or working with your health plan yet, we may be in the future, so please check back!

What is a Welcome Kit? When do I get it?

As a new member of Onduo, you'll soon receive an initial package delivered to your home that includes a connected blood glucose meter, an A1c test kit, lancets and glucose test strips. Supply refills will be available at no additional cost. These tools will help you get started once you sync them with our Onduo app.

What tools and devices do I qualify to receive through Onduo?

As part of your Onduo program enrollment, you'll receive a new connected blood glucose meter at no cost to you. You can choose to use it with the program or simply continue with your existing blood glucose meter (BGM). In addition, you may be eligible to receive a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system which includes a small device worn on your body that reads your glucose frequently. We use these devices to gain insights into how your sugar levels respond to activity, food, and medications.

What data is being used and how will it be used?

Onduo collects data from members directly, from members' wearable and other connected devices, and from the healthcare system. The data is used to understand your health and health risk factors, track progress, measure outcomes, and deliver meaningful insights. Onduo treats all member data as Protected Health Information, which is protected by HIPAA.

Does Onduo sell my data?

We do not sell or share your data with any advertisers or marketers. Customer data is managed with the highest degree of respect and security. Please review our privacy policy to learn more about the steps we take to ensure your personal data is safe and secure.
